私の作品は色と形による色面構成を主体としたものです。絵の具は原色や蛍光色のような彩度の 高い色を好んで用いており、配色もまた鮮やかな組み合わせによるビビッドな視覚効果を意識して います。
形は単純なストロークのような線や幾何学的或いは不定形なフォルムといった抽象性の強 いものから、風景や植物、臓器のような具象的なものまで様々です。色彩を落とし込んだこれら の無機的・有機的なフォルムやストロークの多重構造により画面が構成されています。
また近年は 特に”人と自然の共生”をテーマとし、私が生まれ育った日本に古くから育組まれてきた自然観や 原始信仰とそこから派生した様々なイメージを源泉として制作に取り組んでいます。
私たちの価値観は経験や既成観念、環境や土着の文化など様々な要因から形成されています。
絵画 作品の表層に現出する視覚情報は、そのような個人的、主観的なフィルターを通すことにより観 る人それぞれに様々な感覚を想起させるでしょう。
ではこのような価値観を踏まえずに作品と対峙 した時、私たちは色や形、その組み合わせに何を感じるのでしょうか？
文明の発展は社会を拡大させ、様々な思想や価値観を生み出して来ました。国境や人種の違い、 宗教観、その有り様はとても複雑で多様性に富んでいます。
もしそれらの垣根を超えたところ に、ある種の共通感覚のようなものがあるならば、それは根源的に人の心を揺り動かす何かなの ではないでしょうか。
それは時には”美しさ”として敬われ、時には”畏怖”として崇められ古来より 世界に存在したと思います。
私の中には日本的な考えや価値観が根付いています。が、その深く核となる部分に潜むどんな人種 や時代の人にも伝わるリアリティを伴った存在を描きたいと思っています。
私はその手がかりが 「人と自然の共生」の中に沈んでいるのではないかと考えています。
それは絶対的なものとして、 親しみを感じる身近なものとして世界のあらゆるところに存在するべきもののはずです。

2002 Began working as an artist under the name 'Fuyuji'.
My work is mainly based on the composition of coloured surfaces using colour and shape. I prefer to use highly saturated colours such as primary colours and fluorescent colours in my paints, and I am conscious of the vivid visual effects of colour schemes and vivid combinations. The shapes range from highly abstract, such as simple stroke-like lines and geometric or irregular forms, to figurative ones such as landscapes, plants and organs. The work is composed of a multiplicity of inorganic and organic forms and strokes, which are infused with colour. In recent years, I have been working on the theme of "the symbiosis of man and nature", and have taken as my source of inspiration the ancient and nurtured view of nature and primitive beliefs in my native Japan, and the various images derived from these beliefs. Our values are formed from a variety of factors, including experience, preconceived notions, the environment and indigenous culture. The visual information that appears on the surface of a painting will evoke a variety of sensations in each viewer through such personal and subjective filters. What do we feel from the colours, shapes and combinations of colours and shapes when we are confronted with a work of art without taking these values into account? The development of civilisation has expanded society and given rise to a wide range of ideas and values. Borders, racial differences, religious beliefs, and the way in which they exist are very complex and diverse. If there is a kind of common sense that transcends these barriers, it must be something that fundamentally shakes people's hearts. It is sometimes revered as "beauty", sometimes as "awe" and has existed in the world since ancient times. Japanese ideas and values are deeply rooted in my mind. However, I would like to depict the existence with a reality that can be conveyed to people of any race or era, which lies deep within the core of the Japanese way of thinking. I believe that the clue to this lies in the "symbiosis of man and nature". It should exist everywhere in the world as an absolute, familiar and familiar thing.
